Hoppy Place
Branding Project

The objective was to create and design a brand’s identity and products or services they may sell. One of my favorite things to do is sample different types of brews from independent breweries or restaurants, and that is how the idea of Hoppy Place was born. Creating a fun and vibrant brand while also trying to ensure it was appealing to the masses proved to be a challenge, but through the process the challenge proved to create wonderful results. Check out the final results and process on how it was created below!

EARLY BEGINNINGS

When entering the sketching phase, I knew that I wanted to evoke a feeling of happiness in whatever word or pictorial mark I created. This is where the idea of combing an aluminum can tab and the mouth of aluminum cans into a globally-recognizable image of a smiley face. Working these two elements together finally started to make sense in the digital process.

SKETCHING IT OUT

After sketching out my first ideas, I took to creating them digitally. Including parts of the design such as pictorial marks along with the word marks. This stage was also used to discover the typography of the brand as well.
